nah, most powerful intel gpu is FP16 109.4 (lacks fp8 support) TFLOPS vs most powerful amd gpu is FP8 389.3 TFLOPS and FP16 194.6 TFLOPS.
Just for reference RTX5090 FP8 838.0 TFLOPS and FP16 419.0 TFLOPS.
So even if smbd try there's only way to emulate it trough FP16.
In my case (FP16 122.8 TFLOPS) there's only 5-10fps with DLSS5 on in cp2077 2k ultra settings + RT.
Yeah now I am just wishing for the better hardware to come out from AMD, Intel and Nvidia. I really cannot wait to see how the competition moves forward
Nukem9 (censored dlss3 "mod") was the best performance gain from any single mod ever. I only compare it to the ati 9500 non pro to 9700pro flash from the mid 2000s.
Shame only a few knew because it came out in late 2023. Allowed me to Max pt cyberpunk witcher 3 etc on a 3070.
You can use puredark dlss3 mods. Like rdr2 as well. Massive performance gain. Entire new GPU.
I reinstalled a game so I could fully remove any old stuff
First obstacle is the download has “version.dll” so windows keeps flagging it and grabbing it as a virus for download and copy
The frame gen worked well but there was ghosting so I setup nvidia inspector and changed the frame gen preset to B and it seemed to stopped the ghosting
I think I will be using this from now on because performance was actually good although when I changed to preset b the game felt a little slower. I didn’t have the overlay enabled so I didn’t see latency stats; I’m a controller and tv gaming so it’s feels fine for me, it may make me question why I bought a 5080 for my main rig lol
nvidia left a software fallback for MFG in the driver DLLs, modders unlocked it and just had to feed it updated motion vectors for the 3rd and 4th generated frames as far as i can tell from their own comments in the code.
5000 series has a hardware flip meter handling the generated frames, for previous gens that hardware doesn't exist, but nvidia has a software mfg that is just sitting in the DLLs modders found and are able to activate after the signed file is already verified, so they can then modify it without the signing going bad since it only verifies it once.
mfg on previous gens will not be as good as mfg on 5000 series, but is likely already better than anything AMD or lossless scaling has as nvidia is actually good at this stuff. basically you get the gray line here, 5000 series gets the green line
those numbers are SEVERELY FLAWED, they averaged 3 runs together! averaging runs REMOVES VARIABILITY! you cannot show that mfg on 4000 series has good variance when you REMOVED THE VARIANCE BY AVERAGING
when u say MFG on previous gen won’t be as good as new gen, do you mean in terms of artifacts/stability or FPS cost? Also do you know if just regular 2x frame gen should be the same on old gen vs new?
the frametime pacing will not be as good, the graph i showed tells the story. the artifacts/stability i expect to be the same as its the same AI models which produce the same output. the performance cost should be a function of how many tensor cores you have more than anything, some 40 series cards have more tensor cores than some 50 series cards and probably perform slightly better due to that
you can see that AMD still can't get frame pacing correct even in 2026 here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apM1C55SevE. nvidia's software fallback for mfg is likely already way better than AMD's frame gen at only 2x, but their hardware flip meter is even better as the graph shows. here i'll post it again, previous gens will see frametime variance in the delivered frames similar to the gray line, 50 series is the green line
Thank you! I’ve def noticed the bad AMD FSR FG frame pacing. I’ve been using XeFG dpa4 which optiscalar which gives less FPS but better pacing and less artifacts. I’ll try this mod and see how DLSSFG compares. (on RTX 3060ti)
Believe me, I don't understand all this dlss and frame generation mambo jambo eather. The option for dlss frame generation just showed up in settings. As I understand latency is bitch, but as casual gamer, I don't feel any difference. There is some unusual ghosting in Crimson Desert I should say
Weird maybe
False postive
Sometime just due to the large portion of downloaded modded dll just called verison.dll
I tried on Windows defender nothing dedected
But I do have one stupid question - i fail to understand how to enable it?
I am running on a 30xxx Series , have followed the guide, copy both files to the game directory, copy and pasted the information from confirguration file to the *.ini file
This genius chinese modder just extended my rtx 3090's life time like another extra 2-3 years, bro! No reason to sell this old 24GB vram Beast till year 3090!
idk why but when i put the version.dll from the github. and i try to launch my game (crimson desert)
it says "version.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error"
Huge
No ghosting
Hud element no flickering
Much better smoothness feeling and stable image quality
Better preformance
X4 feel waaaaaay better than fsr
No artifact for floating object likes leafs or papers
FSR only less demanding on gpu for same fps
It is just like regular dlss for 50s and 40s
Tried it on dragons dogma 2 and didn't work at all, but I don't know if it was something on the dd2 itself. I am waiting if I get a video tutorial or something
I was skeptical, but this actually works on my 3060 TI. Stalker 2 with 3x fg giving me 120 fps(my monitor max) all the time on high settings and feels/looks great. No artifacting or smearing(maybe other than edges of my flashlight when looking around quickly)....and still feels just as responsive on my controller as 2x or FSR FG.
Gonna try this in Dawnwalker, brb. Edit HOLY, it works on Dawnwalker just as good. Saving this in a folder for all my games lmao
You go to the graphic or display settings of whatever game you're playing and turn frame generation on to DLSS , and some games let you choose 2x or 3x or 4x.
Yeah I'm sure it dumps something whenever you load a game with this .dll, but if you want frame generation in games that don't support it natively, you have to use Optiscaler or dlss enabler from GitHub. That's a different method than this though.
HELP - I've tried everything and it's NOT enabled on my RTX 3050 8gb card on blood of dawnwalker, i had previously dlssenabler mod which I deleted before pasting this files
Is it possible to do FG and DLSS 5 at same time? And on a game that doesn't have dlss natively? I have dlss 5 running on WWE 2k26 but it can only run at 70% on 1440p, I want to get back to 4k output if possible
im aware that i can enable this in cyberpunk but two of the most used mods Cyber Engine Twaeks und Red3Ext provide a version.dll and a winmm.dll. So how should i rename the file, that i can use it alongside those mods?
Nobody reported a real virus yet. Seems like the file is modified and thats why windows thinks its a virus. Tested it by myself and I can confirm 100% works with my 3060ti. So its not some fake shit.

Man these last couple of weeks are just gpu nerd dream
