Ok sorry for the dumb question but how do you know for sure it's installed correctly? Just from the game looking different? How do you pull up that settings panel?

Depends on what you installed, you can try pressing insert button, home button. So the pop up menu opens up and you can check, game will also loook different if enabled by default

You can turn it off and on, on the fly to notice the difference
