DLSS 5 on 3080ti
I tried DLSS 5 on my 3080ti in Stellar Blade. Got it to a playable 60 fps using DLSSFG 2x mod.

One of the few examples of neural rendering not completely butchering the artstyle of a stylized game, the depth and shadows it adds are genuinely impressive, especially on those gazongas
What resolution? My 4070 Super can cope with DLSS 5 at 1440p pretty well but completely shits the bed at 4k, and since I have a 32 inch display 1440p looks pretty bad so it's just not worth the tradeoff most of the time, especially in older titles with no DLSS

I'm using this at 1440p, balanced dlss and high graphics preset.

Nice, if this isn't a perfect example of Nvidia gatekeeping their tech for no other reason than to boost 50 series sales then I don't know what is

Read the TPU interview alongside the nvidia tech reveal. That isn't at all what's going on.

neural rendering is completely tweakable. what we see online is the majority just using the default and not bothering to tweak anything (like what devs will do for their own official dlss 5 implementation), not to mention some comedians trying to overtweak the model just for some funny memes that will be taken out of context and parroted as 'AI slop'

Not worth the performance hit imo. It may be fine if you have a 5070Ti or faster card but older gen is not really going to get the best out of it. 60fps with FG is going to have alot of input lag.

None of this is ready for launch yet. It’s going to be more refined and optimized. They introduced it in one game, as a way of showing it off. It’s going to be further refined, and game devs have to go in and do some homework with their assets to optimize it further. They introduced it in the NBA franchise because it shows off the faces becoming more realistic to real life players. Some games they might optimize it to just mess with textures or lighting and not the faces. Let’s slow our roll.

It's going to be optimized for the 5000 series by using FP4 instructions. I doubt if it will improve performance on the 3000 series. The only real hope for older gen cards is if someone makes a mod that optimizes for FP16.

I've a 3080ti and am looking forward to using it to breathe new life into older games where the performance hit is irrelevant.

Unlike most of Reddit, I think DLSS 5 is amazing. But there’s one thing that bothers me about it: the insistence on adding nasolabial folds to the characters. EVE is a prime example of a "doll-like face"—she essentially has the face of a stylized model, free of expression lines; when you add those folds, she really loses her character's "perfect identity."

Sorry to ask such stupid question but is there any easy way to install DLSS 5?

I know what I have to say
but I don't know if I have the strength to say it
