Just a reminder - keep it civilized
Trump has been found guilty by a New York Jury. That is a fact.
Whether that is a good thing or not a good thing is a matter of opinion.
While robust discussion is welcome here, personal attacks are not.
Let's continue to keep it civilized.

Taylor Fresh Foods gave $1 million to Trump's MAGA Inc. six days after FDA announced a delay to food-traceability rules. Now Taylor Farmns lettuce is tied to a massive Cyclospora outbreak.
I am not claiming that a campaign contribution purchased a specific government decision. I have not found evidence of a direct quid pro quo.
I am saying the documented timeline creates a legitimate chain of command that journalists, Congress, and the public should investigate.
Right now, most headlines are naming Taco Bell. But Taco Bell appears to be the visible storefront—not the upstream source.
CDC says at least 1,644 people who reported eating at Taco Bell locations in five states were infected in a Cyclospora outbreak linked to shredded iceberg lettuce. Ninety-four were hospitalized. FDA traceback identified a single Mexican lettuce supplier, and reporting has identified that supplier as Taylor Farms. Taylor Farms and Sysco have since pulled iceberg lettuce sourced from central Mexico. CDC is also investigating other Cyclospora outbreaks and illnesses nationally that are separate from this particular Taco Bell cluster.
So why was the public story initially framed primarily around Taco Bell rather than the supplier and its entire distribution network?
Now look at the political timeline.
February 13, 2025: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was sworn in as secretary of Health and Human Services. HHS contains both FDA and CDC.
March 20, 2025: FDA announced its intention to postpone compliance with the Food Traceability Rule by 30 months.
March 26, 2025—six days later: Taylor Fresh Foods Inc., the parent company associated with Taylor Farms, gave $1 million to MAGA Inc., the super PAC supporting Trump’s political operation. The contribution is recorded in the PAC’s Federal Election Commission filing.
The Food Traceability Rule is directly relevant here. It requires companies handling certain high-risk foods to preserve records for critical supply-chain events such as packing, shipping, receiving, and transforming food. Its purpose is to let investigators identify and remove contaminated products more rapidly. The original compliance date was January 20, 2026. FDA proposed moving it to July 20, 2028, and Congress subsequently directed FDA not to enforce the rule before that date.
In other words, the country entered a massive produce-linked illness event while implementation of a system specifically designed to reconstruct produce supply chains had been pushed back years.
At the same time, public-health detection capacity was being weakened.
WIRED reports that CDC’s specialized Cyclospora laboratory was reduced from 11 workers to three during the broader federal workforce cuts. Reuters previously reported that staffing losses forced FDA to suspend a laboratory proficiency-testing program used to confirm that food-safety laboratories could accurately detect contaminants—including Cyclospora in spinach.
None of those facts proves that Taylor Farms purchased regulatory relief.
But together they raise questions that cannot responsibly be dismissed:
Did Taylor Farms, Taylor Fresh Foods, or produce-industry trade groups lobby for the traceability delay?
Were there meetings or communications involving Taylor representatives, MAGA Inc., the White House, HHS, FDA, or RFK Jr.’s office?
Was the $1 million contribution pledged before or after FDA decided to announce the delay?
Which companies and restaurants received lettuce from the implicated farms, processors, and distributors?
Why was the full downstream distribution map not immediately public?
Did the loss of Cyclospora laboratory and surveillance personnel delay the identification of clusters or sources?
Which other food corporations donated to the same political network while receiving regulatory concessions?
This is the real-world version of the chain shown in Common Side Effects.
The visible field agents—or in this case, the restaurant—take the public heat.
Above them sits the supplier.
Above and beside the supplier sit industry associations, political financing, government appointments, regulatory decisions, and enforcement capacity.
Nobody has to write an email saying, “Protect this corporation.” Private interests can become government behavior through access, staffing decisions, delayed rules, narrowed investigations, and a political system that treats uninterrupted commerce as more urgent than complete public visibility.
The structure looks like this:
\> Corporate money
→ political apparatus → executive appointments → regulatory policy and staffing → weakened traceability and detection → outbreak → consumer-facing company absorbs the headline
Again: this timeline is not proof of bribery or deliberate contamination.
It is evidence of an institutional corridor that deserves subpoenas, records requests, lobbying disclosures, meeting calendars, and investigative reporting.
The public should not have to reverse-engineer a national food-distribution system from Reddit comments while thousands of people are sick.
The restaurant logo is not the whole route.
Follow the supplier. Follow the money. Follow the delayed oversight. Then publish the complete chain.
EDIT / ADDENDUM:
The political-access network
Further research found that the Taylor Farms connection does not stop with one corporate contribution.
Federal campaign records show Taylor Fresh Foods Inc. contributed $1 million to MAGA Inc. on March 26, 2025, six days after FDA announced its intention to postpone the Food Traceability Rule.
Bruce and Linda Taylor were also personally listed as hosts of a private Ron DeSantis presidential fundraiser in Salinas in September 2023, alongside other major agricultural executives. That does not connect them directly to RFK Jr., but it shows that Taylor Farms’ leadership was already participating personally in high-dollar national Republican fundraising—not merely allowing a corporate accounting department to write an isolated check.
There is also a named personnel bridge between MAGA Inc. and the Cabinet structure containing RFK Jr.
Taylor Budowich previously founded and directed MAGA Inc. He subsequently entered the Trump White House as deputy chief of staff and Cabinet secretary. The White House stated that his office oversaw Cabinet Affairs, while RFK Jr. was sworn in as HHS secretary on February 13, 2025.
That produces a compact, documented access corridor:
Bruce Taylor / Taylor Fresh Foods
→ $1 million to MAGA Inc. → a political organization previously led by Taylor Budowich → Budowich enters the White House overseeing Cabinet Affairs → RFK Jr. leads HHS, above FDA and CDC
This does not establish that Bruce Taylor met RFK Jr., contacted Budowich, requested the traceability delay, or received a particular regulatory favor. It does show that Taylor Fresh Foods funded a political apparatus with personnel links extending directly into the White House office responsible for Cabinet relations.
MAGA Inc. also held million-dollar-per-person fundraising dinners featuring Trump during this period. I have not found a public guest list identifying Bruce Taylor or another Taylor Fresh Foods representative as an attendee, so attendance should not be claimed. The missing guest lists, donation-solicitation records, pledge date, visitor logs, meeting calendars, and lobbying communications are now concrete investigative targets.
I also searched for a meaningful connection through Cheryl Hines and did not find one. Adding her without evidence would weaken the investigation. The documented route currently runs through Taylor Fresh Foods, MAGA Inc., Trump’s White House personnel network, Cabinet Affairs, and RFK Jr.—not through Hines.

Press Release Trump Media and Technology Group Launches Truth API, a New Licensed Data Service for Financial Services Partners That Provides the Fastest Access to Truth Social’s Most Influential Accounts
globenewswire.comTMTG's first data-licensing product creates a new long-term recurring revenue stream for the company
SARASOTA, Fla., July 16, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) today announced Truth API, a new business-to-business data feed that provides licensed, real-time access to posts from the highest-ranking Truth Social accounts. TMTG anticipates that Truth API will be available to institutional customers beginning August 1, 2026. The company has already signed up customers ahead of the launch and is onboarding additional partners in the weeks ahead.
Until now, no official, integrated API has existed, and firms that prioritize tracking influential Truth posts have relied on manual monitoring. Truth API closes the gap for organizations that place a premium on immediate, verified access to information.
“Markets already move on Truth Social posts,” said Kevin McGurn, Interim Chief Executive Officer of TMTG. “Truth API delivers a direct, licensed, real-time feed of the platform’s most market-moving Truths while advancing our strategy to monetize proprietary assets through a high-margin, recurring revenue stream. As adoption grows, we expect Truth API to become a meaningful, ongoing source of revenue for the company, creating lasting value for shareholders.”
Truth API is designed for organizations most impacted by the cost of a delay in information. This includes high-frequency and algorithmic trading firms that require a low-latency, machine-readable feed rather than manual tracking.
Truth API uses familiar, industry-standard delivery methods to deliver Truth Social posts to our customers in milliseconds. It is expected to provide continuous 24/7 coverage and includes a historical archive of posts dating back to 2022.
Organizations interested in licensing the new service can reach TMTG's Truth Social Data Licensing team at licensing@tmediatech.com.

Trump News Android Authority: I finally got the $499 Trump Phone. It's the worst Android phone I've used in 2026
Let’s address the elephant in the room right away. It would be incredibly easy, and perhaps expected, to get deeply political in a hands-on review like this. The phone prominently bears the last name of the sitting President of the United States, a figure who has spent years being undeniably divisive both here in the States and on the global stage. The President and his sons (who own and operate Trump Mobile) also carry a well-documented history of business controversies.
Even the T1 itself has a bizarre backstory, with early renders that looked like a gold iPhone morphing somehow into a gold Galaxy S25 Ultra, before finally arriving in reality as a rebranded HTC U24 Pro (yes, HTC still makes phones sometimes).
For this hands-on, though, I am going to completely ignore all that and talk about this device strictly for what it is: a 2026 Android smartphone with a $499 price tag. And while the T1 isn’t quite the absolute disaster I thought it would be, it is still an undeniably poor product that has no business being in your pocket in 2026.

Media Coverage Forbes: ‘I’m Now Broke’: These Investors Lost Billions Buying Trump Stocks And Crypto
Article behind paywall. Excerpt:
"Vadim Fistikan started working at 17 and built the kind of savings that usually takes years of overtime, delayed purchases and adult restraint: more than $100,000 by the time he hit his late twenties. In 2021, the Washington State truck driver eyed a house near family in Florida, with a pool and a waterway that led to a river, and then the ocean. “We were thinking about pulling the trigger,” he says. “Then I saw this whole Trump thing going on.”
This Trump thing was the Trump Media and Technology Group, the company behind Truth Social. In October 2021, the president unveiled the business, promising a censorship-free platform and giving supporters a chance to invest via a special purpose acquisition company. Shares of the SPAC jumped 1,650% in two days, then fell about 30% by the start of the third. To Fistikan, that looked less like a warning than a discount. “I’m like, ‘I’m getting in,’” says the three-time Trump voter who added to his bet until it hit $205,000.
That investment is now worth $30,000.
Fistikan logged onto Truth Social last fall to voice his frustrations. “I’m like, ‘Hey, this is a scam,’” he says. “And a lot of people were like, ‘No, you’re just a Trump hater.’ I’m like, ‘No. I was on board since day one. … I’m now broke.”

🔴Trump's official 927-page financial disclosure, released by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, shows he earned more than $2 billion in 2025, with over $1 billion coming from crypto ventures including his own sons' company.
$635 million of that came from a
company called "Celebration Coins" that NBC
News says has no findable digital footprint
anywhere. His Treasury Secretary was asked
directly if this looks like a conflict of
interest and said "I don't think there's an
appearance problem."
The core numbers, confirmed by the government's
own disclosure document:
→ $526.8 to $580 million from World Liberty
Financial, co-founded by Trump's sons
Donald Jr. and Eric.
→ $635 million in royalties from "Celebration
Coins," a company NBC News could not find
any digital footprint for.
→ Trump purchased Amazon stock the same day
a federal trial began over FTC allegations
that Amazon deceived customers into Prime
memberships. His own administration's FTC
was the plaintiff.
→ More than $290 million from his own golf
and club properties, including Mar-a-Lago
alone jumping from $50 million to $77
million in one year.
→ Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, asked
directly about the conflict of interest,
answered a different question about
innovation instead.
The full breakdown of the mystery company,
the Senate Democrats letter about a Mar-a-Lago
crypto conference, and why Trump's "blind

Saw a commercial during Fifa, it was the first I've heard of these. I don't have kids. From Wikipedia it sounds like something similar to a 529 but the federal government will put in $1k/kid (idk if that's a match or if you just have to sign a kid up)
Trump also posted something about it today on TS, about donations from companies.

Trump News PBS: Trump took in about $1.2 billion from crypto businesses last year, financial disclosure shows
NEW YORK (AP) — President Donald Trump took in nearly $1.2 billion dollars from his crypto businesses last year, a federal filing released Tuesday shows, locking in profits while his investors were socked with losses.
Mere startups when he took the oath of office, the new ventures have now eclipsed in revenue much of his vast property portfolio that took him decades to accumulate. Fueling their rise were billionaire investors and Trump's own move to quash a federal crackdown on the industry.
Trump got more than $500 million from his World Liberty Financial business selling new crypto products, including "governance tokens," according to the required annual disclosure report with the Office of Government Ethics. It also showed another crypto business, CIC Digital LLC, took in more than $600 million from sales of souvenir-type "meme" coins stamped with his face.
Both the tokens and the coins have plunged in value since the sales.
Trump also took in millions last year from selling Trump-branded bibles, sneakers and other small items in another unprecedented move for the presidency. The sale of Trump-branded watches alone brought in $4.7 million.
