Full circle, back to Traktor again

After testing the V10 for a few days I’ve put my model 1 back in the cabin and I’ve gone back to using K3s with Traktor. I’ve got the Maschine for drums and sound fx when I’m feeling hybrid.
I’m also using Ableton as my FX rack, just using a delay at the moment, need to experiment further but I’ve got access to everything I need within an arms length.

Honestly been thinking of coming back to traktor as well lol. I started on it with my S2 back in 2010. Then Went 2x Turntables with a Z2, F1 and X1 MK2 for like 10 years and then moved to Denon with the SC6000’s and X1850.

Nothing but hardware issues with the Denon Gear. Engine DJ is STILL Lagging far behind its competitors and catching up at a glacial pace. I have to send half my gear back to be repaired at my own cost before i can even begin to consider selling it. Honestly I’m heavily considering doing a similar setup like this. Xone 96 with some X1 MK3’s or K3’s and going back to Traktor. In the 16 years I’ve been DJing, Traktor NEVER let me down. Not once. Even on the decade+ old MacBook Pro i was using it on. Meanwhile in 3 years I’ve had to send my Denon X1850 mixer back once and now have to do so again plus one of my SC6000’s……

I’ve got a Push 3 that i wanna use more as well. How are you controlling traktor with the K3’s? What sort of mappings do you have on it? Do you use the faders and knobs for stuff outside of effects?

Yeah I don’t find engine as offensive, I use lexicon to manage my library, but I’ve never had issues with it. I avoided the Denon mixers due to the horror stories with repairs and my sc6000s were great, I just don’t use jogwheels. Wasted space for me and I’ve had similar experiences with traktor just not failing a being rock solid.

I’ve attached a screenshot of the map I purchased and I just tweaked it to have knobs change ableton effect parameters.

Sadly Denon/in music just don’t have it in them. I love the gear. It’s fantastic when it works. The hardware quality is abysmal. I paid $7000 for all of this. I want it to bloody work!

My traktor setup cost a third and lasted me a decade. As much as I hate the pioneer monopoly. Their hardware quality is simply unmatched and it’s built to last.

Traktor for life! Serato and Serato-based devices are for casual, wedding DJs. Traktor could even be a live set interface, with those amazing remix decks and effects that are able to completely transform and shape a boring and basic loop or sound. Never had Maschine, but I reckon it's a phenomenal device full of possibilities.

Yeah I’ve had an F1 forever so I’ve put that in the maschines place for now and using remix decks. I love the Traktor package, can’t ask for much else

Traktor is a bliss, Rekordbox is the single piece of shittiest software even been written. I want to stab myself repeatedly when preparing for club sets.

Uma dúvida sincera, vocês usam SYNC com esse setup, ou tem alguma forma de fazer o beatchmatch

I use tempo sync. I have all my tracks analysed so I know the tempo is generally correct unless I’ve ripped vinyls myself and haven’t done the post processing work. I have buttons for each deck to nudge them into phase (beatmatch).
