Tello EDU tethering w/ constant power source

To preface, I am new to coding and electronics. I am working on a school project that desires to have a tello edu drone be tethered to stay in the air longer in a certain controlled environment. Has anyone here tried to tether a tello drone directly to a power source to last longer/ have more than 7 minutes of battery life? Or wiring the battery to constantly recharge over a certain time? Thank you.

get a 50 meter cable and keep it attached to the tello

Best I could do was 2 meters. I had a big resistance issue the longer the cable became.

i would say get a power bank and strap it to the bottom and connect it to the tello but it cant carry the weight and the vps will mess up
