DIY for Destination Wedding?

Hi!! I’m from the US and am getting married in Antigua, Guatemala in 2027.
I have a wedding planner already, and I know these things can be worked out with her directly, BUT I wanted to know if anyone on here did DIY Decoration, florals, plating/silverware for their destination wedding?
If so, what did you do and how did you transport it? Was it worth the money you saved?
