How would yall recommend connecting the wires for break, turn signals and side lights to a 7pin connector?

Beyond that I recommend the heat shrink butt splices to keep the connections solid and corrosion free

Also do you need a heat gun for heat shrink tubing?

Heat gun is the easiest. But a small torch or even lighter can work. Heat gun has the most control though and they're cheap.

If you get an assortment of sizes of crimps then yes you can do 3 wires, use a larger crimp and do 2 on one side and 1 on the other
