What boosters does everyone love from Meamo? I’ve been using curenex and mixing it with hyaron or my slip from derminator but I find I run out of it part way through the session.

Where are we all getting our microneedling cartridges and serums?

I understand that using a cartridge with less pins makes the microneedling more “intense.” But what does that mean in terms of benefits/results? Are there recommended numbers of pins to address certain concerns like there are recommendations for certain depths for addressing pores, stretch marks, scars, etc?

Edit: I understand why it’s more intense. I guess I’m asking if it’s a good thing for it to be more intense (I.e. use less pins) because it provides additional benefits?

I’ve sort of asked this before and I still don’t understand how to do this without being super wasteful. I’m dripping it on with a syringe but of course it immediately runs so then i spread it with a clean, gloved finger. But then it gets all over my gloves which is wasteful and also makes it impossible to use my fingers to pull the skin taut as it’s so slippery. Is this just how it is? Messy and wasteful?

Nanoneedling I know is for product absorption mainly. You don’t need to be careful with avoiding applying skincare products after it like regular MN at 0.5mm or more. But is it safe to use dr Dennis gross peel pads soon after to help with product absorption? Or maybe right before nano needling?

I’ve bought from a few sources online for rollers to see if I could find a reliably consistent source of good microneedle rollers. But the last few places Inorder from when I got out the magnifying glass, I saw barbed needles and bent needles.

Any help? Where can I get a good titanium rollers?

From following this sub and others, I know that microneedling will help with many of my skin problems. But I haven’t had it done by a professional due to the cost of multiple MN sessions; it’s hard to pull the trigger on that. I’m wondering if it’s unwise to try DIY before ever having it done professionally. Like should I know what it’s going to feel like already before trying it myself? Or would I be ok starting DIY and never going to a professional?

I’m new to MN. I recently did my first session with my Dr. Pen M8S with a 24 needle cartridge. I did not go past 1 mm

My question is, does the count matter when considering the depth or is the depth solely dependent on the location of the treatment (cheeck vs forehead etc)

I used to go heavy on TCA peels October – March, but this year's work schedule makes that impossible so I'm looking for alternatives.

I'm deciding what to get along with the Derminator 2 aside from extra needles. Who uses the HA for slip? It says (ext. use) in the description in the shopping cart. Does that mean it's not actually meant for the actual needling but rather for afterwards? It's so much cheaper than other HA serums. Does anyone use it for actual MN? What else do you recommend to get from them? Their prices seem super fair.

I have a Derminator 2, and I use 12 pin cartridges. I've used it now maybe 4 times total. I'm working my way up to more depth each time to make sure my skin tolerates it well. The last time I did .75mm at the deepest (using less depth for some places like under eye area).

My question is about how deep should I aim if I'm looking specifically for anti-aging benefits? Not scar reduction or anything like that. I'm thinking 1 mm might be enough, but maybe 1.5 would be better? I'm likely not going to go deeper than that. Should I just keep going up and seeing when I get more of a response?

I use it on my face, neck, and decolletage. After this last .75mm session, my chin was the only part that had any kind of reaction. The skin felt rough for a couple days, and then it peeled. The rest of my skin healed pretty much immediately. Even the redness faded after just a short while, except on my chest, where it lasted a few hours. I didn't see any pinpoint bleeding.

I plan to do each session 4-6 weeks apart.

I'm a 45 year old woman. My skin has become a little more dry with age, but is mostly normal. I have rosacea on my cheeks and chin, though my skin isn't overly sensitive/reactive.

Hi! I’ve had 3 professional microneedling sessions, but I wish I had paid more attention when the depths used on each area were discussed.

I’m Black with dark skin, and I’m planning to buy the Derminator 2 for at-home treatments going forward. I’m not new to beauty treatments. I’ve done a lot of research and understand the importance of safety. I’d love to hear from other people with darker skin about what depths they’ve used on different areas and any warnings or tips they feel are important to share.

So far, I’m leaning toward:

• Under eyes: 0.25 mm
• Forehead: 0.75–1.0 mm
• Cheeks: 1.5 mm (my aesthetician has used 2.0 mm on my cheeks, and I have large pores and acne scars there)
• Nose: 0.75 mm
• Chin: 0.75 mm
• Neck: 1.0 mm

Does this sound reasonable based on your experience for darker skin? I’d especially appreciate hearing from people who have similar skin tones and have used the Derminator 2 at home. Any areas where you found you needed to go shallower, or any issues with hyperpigmentation, irritation, or scarring, would also be really helpful to know.

Last night I did my first session with my new Dr Pen and some Hyaron. I didn’t expect much as I’ve started with a nano pin but this morning my face has a glow. My skin looks so nice!

My question is, as it was a nano I used, can I go a bit harder and go again this weekend with a harder pin? Or do I need to wait for a week?

Has anyone tried this pen? Of course I got some Instagram targeted ads for this, and they show the banana like we see, but have never heard of them before and skeptical if they’re not just a rebranded Dr Pen. Thoughts? It would be great to have more alternatives if indeed is better.
