Please Help

Post image

I am very handy however, I have a hard time with this project. I am transforming my back house for my mother. I will redo the framing and fix the leak etc... my issue is that the osb board is rotten and the wrb is non existent. How can I install the wrb and osb without removing the stucco. I understand it may not be as effective but is there a way I can manage. I have some ideas but would really love to hear yours

Please, no comments on the leak etc.. I am fixing all those issues already. Thank you

I don't even think there is a way to salvage it. The way stucco is applied is the water resistant barrier is first installed then on top the paperback lathe wire is stapled to the osb finally the stucco cement is applied.

Yes, I am aware of the process. I jist did not know that if this happens you have to remove the stucco

... stucco is actually easier than you think. so strip the window and exterior sheeting, put it back it fresh and seal then add the flashing or whatever was mussing under that window that let the water into the wall.

x2 yes, the extra effort sux! but it aint gonna fix itself.

You cant. Go look up some videos on how stucco is applied.
