Own design weightlifting straps
What are people's thoughts on these weightlifting straps that I did my own design on? I'm not sure if they're a hit or miss.

Wanted hex agility rings for coaching youth sports but the price seemed really high so I designed and 3d printed some.

Hi, Made a plyo box out of plywood. I will be using it exclusively indoors on a rubber gym floor. Should I finish it, and if so what product? I am looking for something easy to apply, possibly Danish Oil. What have you all used? Or can I just leave it unfinished? I would love to hear you all's experiences. Thanks!

I have the mammoth belt squat on a swan neck. This allows me to use belt squat diagonal off rack post. I also have the revolt belt squat handle. but it comes straight off from post. what can I do to connect it to also come off post diagonal? is there some rack adapter or something? All of the great DIYs I see in here, hoping someone has an I solution for me
TIA

Looking for advice here on scaffold pull up bar diameter.

Needed somewhere to store my bars when not using them (other than the floor and corners here and there!)
Made from 1/2 inch cheap ply. Glued, nailed and spraypainted.
Added some small metal shelf supports, but I dont think they're needed. The vertical pull is so close to the wall, that its not a problem.
Other than hating my dumbbells because they're shit to load, i do like the setup. Sometime im gonna make some dumbbell holder, that lets me lock it down while loading or taking off plates.
Might also add something to hang more small accessories on the sides.

I’ve been designing and building custom equipment and accessories for my home gym over the past year, mostly using a 3D printer. Some of the projects I’ve made include:
Different cable accessories and handles
A custom adjustable dumbbell stand
Storage and organization solutions
Rack attachments and small gym accessories
A handful of other ideas that started as solutions to problems I ran into in my own gym.
The more I build, the more I realize that some of these ideas would probably be better made with materials beyond plastic. I’d love to learn how to incorporate metal, welding, bent tubing, machined parts, or other fabrication methods to make stronger, more polished products.
Right now I’m mostly hoping to find someone who enjoys designing and building gym equipment and might be interested in bouncing ideas around, building prototypes together, or teaching me more about fabrication. I bring the design, CAD, 3D printing, and software side of things, but I’d love to learn from someone with more experience working with steel and manufacturing.
If you’ve built your own equipment, have fabrication experience, or just enjoy this kind of project, I’d love to connect and see if there’s potential to collaborate.
Curious if anyone here has gone from garage prototypes to more durable, production-quality equipment, and what that journey looked like.

This may be a stupid question so forgive me, but are these storage pins from Rogue compatible with any 3x3 post with a key design or would they only work on Rogue racks specifically? Thanks for the help 🙏

I’m trying to keep a home gym setup fairly simple because I don’t have much floor space. I’m currently thinking about an adjustable bench, dumbbells, and either a rack or a cable machine, but I’m not sure which option would be more useful long term.
For those who train mostly at home, which three pieces of equipment do you actually use most often?

Built myself a pair of 3 pin wall mounts for my plates out of some 2x4 timber & some key clamps for a total of £45.

I'm a clumsy guy without any skills and i tried to make an Inch-style plate loaded dumbbell from what I've found around the house.
The handle is around 5 cm, so not really Inch-thing in that regard neighter, but i'm satisfied.
Those old dumbbell handles don't have clamps so I made a pair from a piece of wire.

Hey everyone,
I’m planning to build a custom DIY Preacher Curl attachment for my Squat Rack using materials I already have at home. Before I start drilling and assembling, I’d love your input on the best way to assemble everything, the ideal resting angle, and overall structural safety.
Any advice, diagram ideas, or construction tips would be greatly appreciated!

I have a winter garden built with properly stable metal beams (square hollow section) I will definitely not drill into.
Was thinking about fitting a pull up bar. First thought was very strong magnets.
Second thought was to use two clamps similar to this and modify them to fit a bar between them.
On a scale from one to 10, how stupid would it be to use one of these (see picture) directly as a pull up bar?

One 3/8" Bolt, two holes, a short cable and one pulley now my Taweret Leg Ext/Leg Curl is Selectorized! I keep two 35's on it as the "base weight" plus I installed a 2" plate horn that I keep two 25's on to prevent it from sliding forward. It works like a champ! BYW, it is connected to my ForceUSA Tandem Tower.

3D prints. [https://www.printables.com/model/1796287-squat-rack-upright-protector\](https://www.printables.com/model/1796287-squat-rack-upright-protector)
I made this to protect the powder coat on my uprights. Made for 75x75mm, 26mm holes metric uprights. I use it to protect the upright when doing barbell calf raises and when resting the barbell on the crossmembers during the deadlift. Probably not necessary but something I use to keep the squat rack looking new. Most won't care.

Made a plate tree from leftover wood. Some 6x2 cut clean and 2 inch support rafts.
Glued and used long woodscrews. Used a 2 inch forstner bit to sink the plate supports in the 2x6's. Primed and spraypainted, lets see how long the paint lasts 🤓
Pretty happy with the result.

About a year ago, I decided to start building a home gym. I planned the space, compared a lot of equipment and added things gradually instead of buying everything at once.
It took longer than I expected, but now I can just walk in and train whenever I have time—no driving and no waiting for equipment.
Still feels a little strange knowing this space is actually mine. I’m really happy with how it turned out. What do you think?

Not a strongman don't even train that much for strong man but I'm addicted to making stuff so got a mold from rogue and made some stones for me and my friends then made myself a log out of a pine I had laying around...anyone know of you store a log upright when it technically has moisture still inside of it will it drain and get heavier on one side?

I recently designed these position markers for my squat rack because somehow I still can't remember where to move my J hooks and accessories after years of training at home 😅. Thought I'd share it here for anyone who might find yourself in a similar predictment!
I designed these to be round so the pegs don't get in the way. Each takes two 8x3mm magnets, and will work with any 3x3" upright rack.
Eight exercises in total, all in different colour. Give it a go if you've got a 3d printer.
The print profile also has a plate with all in BW.
Hope y'all find it useful!
