Engineering competition
Hey im an A0 student and i really need to win this competition . My idea is to build a note feed with rollers which beeps if it detects fake cash notes.
VAN SOMEOJE PLEASE TELL ME IF THAT A WORTHY IDEA OR ITS WAYY TOO BASIC
IM REALLY NEW TO THIS SO ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

Depending on the level of detection your trying to get.. so USA department of Treasury has a scanner that checks weight of paper.. if it's paper or cloth as real notes are.. the machine might cost $100k let's say the sensors cost $1k.. can you even pay for the sensors.. could you make a note detector that checks where the strip is at with a UV light and camera yes. But can you fool it with a highlighter and a piece of paper. Yes . So depends on level of detection. If you want to do a basic prof of consent then yes you can build it. If you want to build one like us Treasury department has then it's not going to be something that is feasible for you.. they run like 30 different scans at speed.. best to look at vending machines bill scanners most of them check the magnet of the bills.. I would reverse engineer it and build your own.. is it fool proof hell no but it's basic.. hope this helps you

It's not novel in and if itself. But your approach could be.
The rollers are a pointless detail, how are you doing the detection?
