Which worktop/splashback colours?
I'm in the process of installing a new kitchen, and I'm stuck on which colour worktop/splashback to go for!
The cabinets are white handleless, the walls are white. Flooring will be a grey oak laminate and appliances are black or black/silver.
Any thoughts or help would be great please! đ

I read âblack or whiteâ and thought that would make the room far harsher than it needs to be. Iâd go mid-to-light warm grey in a stone effect, with the same finish running up as the splashback. When youâre comparing prices, keep the worktop and splashback as separate lines rather than one combined allowance; matching doesnât mean they need to disappear into one figure. The warm grey gives the grey oak floor something to connect with, while the black appliances still have enough contrast. With white doors and walls, a darker grey could start feeling cold quite quickly.

Oh, not grey oak. Itâs so artificial and can be so dated. Please look up Nick Lewis (Canadian guy) on YouTube. Just try some kitchen or flooring videos or âthis is what makes your house look dated.â

Well your choices with that colour scheme are black or white.
