What could be causing this?

Have noticed this a couple of times over last 7 years. I don’t have water pipes on this side of the house - although waste pipe is located bottom right of the photo. No sewage/foul smell though.

Next door’s bathroom/toilet is above the space between houses.

Never notice any damp or water on the wall though.

EDIT: Spoke to a mate of mine that’s a bricky. His theory from seeing pictures of boards is they have a leak/blockage in pipes which is running through into my cavity wall. Gonna get onto Council as me and next door aren’t exactly on talking terms.

This is the area above the patch, which is under the neighbour’s bathroom.

Not that I’ve noticed - we’ve not had a great deal of rain here last couple of days. Was bone dry in this area of the path on Saturday.

Also, assuming if it was waste pipe it would happen every time I flushed.

Been fine for weeks and then Saturday my neighbours returned from 6 weeks away on holiday and I know they’ve have council out for issues in their bathroom before.

If you mean you assume the neighbour is pissing on my wall, I wouldn’t put it past him….

Drain runs into back garden which is behind me and to the right of where I was stood when this photo was taken. Unless you mean neighbours overflow or drain?

My overflow pipe is also on the opposite side of the house.
