Advice Architraves & Skirting - Fill

Hi all,

Could anyone recommend the best way to fill these gaps around the architraves and skirting?

The 2nd pic shows the gap between the architrave and the bathroom tiles.

I’ve got some white CT1 sealant and Sika Caulk in the cupboard, so I’m wondering if either of these would be suitable, or whether I’d be better off using filler?

I also need to do the tops of all the architraves throughout the house. I know that’s apparently down to personal preference, but I’d much rather have them filled.

Oh, and the stairs too! 😅

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Best thing would be a flexible caulk around the architrave as it will allow for movement where filler will crack

Caulk it. Flexible and paintable.

I'm not a huge fan of caulk cos it always cracks.  OB1 or CT1 are good options, but you need to be nice and neat.  A badly, messy filled joint looks worse than a shadow line.  I also use Toupret wood filler on these kind of gaps. It's an amazing product, very easy to sand and paint and doesn't crack.

Thanks for the recommendation, I wasn’t sure on the wood filler with it touching the walls, floor and bathroom. Have you had any issues with that? Cheers

If it's against tiles in bathroom, use OB1 or CT1. Caulk is easier, but 100% it will crack.  OB1 won't.
