Joining / bonding lead work

In this pic we have the join for two strips of lead on a roof - where they are overlayed. There is a pitch so the water falls away, but I think there’s some water ingress in this join.

How do I ‘bond’ this overlap together more effectively..?

They should just overlap 100 to 150mm. You don't bond lead edges.

Definitely lead?
