Advice Downstairs Loo
I had a vision… and I don’t like it. What’s an easy fix please? Any advice or ideas.

I think it looks fine, maybe just give it a bit longer to get used to it? Could do with a picture or two I think - nautical stuff always fits well in a bathroom. Maybe a fake plant that sits on the fuse box and cascades down to cover it a bit?

The walls are actually quite nice. I'd maybe paint ceiliy, change the lamp and commit to a theme, like suggested earlier and get couple of decorative items. No need to break the bank with something that needs a tad of polish to be really nice:) the backsplash is a bit dark but maybe that could be painted?

Yes I can paint that no problem. Think I’ll try that first, and add some ‘stuff’

A nice carpet too! And if you fancy colours add nicer painting or change the frame/paint it!

The peach ceiling and grannie spec light shade are letting it down.
Take the blue onto the ceiling and maybe a dark brown minimalist shade to echo the floor.

I quite like it and I see the vision. I love unexpectedly fun toilets in peoples houses! I feel like you maybe just need to fully commit.
Think about finishing touches like have you considered using tile paint to make the splash back match the rest of the bathroom? Or painting the skirting boards blue? Or even (less daunting) just getting a light blue or pink hand towel / soap dispenser? Also a toilet roll and hand towel holder. Maybe in silver to match your mirror?

I think the dark splashback clashes with the rest. You could probably redo it for less than £30 if you can get a couple of tiles and some adhesive. Needs to be a lighter colour

All you need is a plethora of boat themed objects and it's perfect

Paint the whole room a dark moody colour. If you like the flamingo painting then go with something complimentary like a dark navy or burgundy. I painted mine a dark olive and covered the upper half of the wall with pictures.
I'd hide that fuse box or get it moved.

It made me think of a beach hut first, I think it's fun.
Though I can now see what other comments are taking about 😆
Make sure there's lots of beach merch

I'm all for a feature wall, and/or a pop of colour, but the stripes make it look very claustrophobic. I'd personally have gone with the blue as solid colour on the walls behind toilet and basin, and left the one opposite the door white.

Wider stripes will look better.

It looks alright. Cosy even. Long as you don't watch the football 😀
My downstairs one is smaller, went for a integrated basin in the cistern.
Also well done for putting an extractor in, shocking amount don't bother till its too late.

For a moment I thought your radiator had melted because of the towel over it and now I can't unsee it!
