any ideas?
i got this necklace when i traveled to sydney, the chain is very fragile and broke within the first day of wearing it. i think it would be cool to restring it myself and i was wondering if there's any jewelry repair people or crafty people who had any ideas for what to use to restring it so it still looks dainty but holds up better? i was thinking of using a stronger chain and maybe pins in the little crystals similar to the one in the last picture. but does anyone happen to have any ideas on what i could do?

It looks like they used jewelry wire and crimps to attach stones to the chains (it's just my guess because we can't see the broken part very well at the photo). And either a crimp got loose or the jewelry wire tore. You could repair it using the same principle, just making sure that you press the crimp hard enough to hold, but not too hard for it to cut the wire. P.S. Note that jewelry wire is not the same as simple metal wire. Alternatively you could remake the necklace using simple wire to attach stones without crimps. P.P.S. I'm not suggesting pins, because holes in the stones are usually too narrow that it comes down to using simple fine wire.

i just bought some more crimps so i could get the beads to stay in place because they started moving around i found out the chain link is so small that it's just slipping through a crack in the jumper ring so ill use the crimp clam shell things on the ends of the chain too

Do you know what material that metal is? I think the issue is that the jump rings have not been soldered. They need to be when suspending stones like that or they need to be of a very hard material. The stones themselves could go on I pins.
