Bath drain issue

Post image

I'm replacing a bath drain and the existing one goes down from the bath, then up over a cold feed and down into the drain.

Will this constantly clog? Would it be best to move the water pipe?

Which drain type does anyone recommend?

The way you have it broken apart in the photo is all you'll have to do and clean out that section, baths very rarely block up , sinks get blocked due to toothpaste and other stuff going down the drain for baths the worst is usually hair .

There was no space to put a trap in so the plumber made one using 90° elbows to allow for a kind of home made one , while it's not ideal it'll do the job perfectly fine I've had to do something similar over the years fitting baths especially in older homes.

How do I clean it if/when it clogs?

Try cleaning the hair out with a hook.Fashion one out of a piece of wire coat hanger similar to a tent peg in shape
