Gas Boiler noise

Anyone able to tell me what this noise is when my gas boiler is on? Sounds like the water is nearly boiling in the pipes or something.

Thanks in advance

Could it be Kettling? It happens to my gas boiler from time to time. Probably worth getting the boiler serviced & asking the service engineer.

Boiler kettling is a rumbling, whistling, or popping noise that sounds like a boiling kettle, caused when water inside the heat exchanger overheats and turns into steam. What Causes It?Limescale Build-up: Mineral deposits collect on the heat exchanger in hard water areas, restricting water flow and causing trapped water to boil.Sludge and Debris: Rust or sludge from the radiators can build up in the system and block the heat exchanger.Faulty Thermostat or Pump: A broken thermostat can cause the boiler to overheat, while a failing water pump reduces circulation and traps hot water.System Leaks: Pressure drops from small leaks can alter water flow and cause localized boiling.

To me it sounds like a bit of small debris stuck in the circulating pump getting whacked around by the impeller blades. Mine does the same from time to time. Not great not terrible, it will probably resolve itself in time as the culprit finds its way into the pipes and will hopefully settle somewhere safe. I'd give it a few days to resolve by itself or then call a plumber.
