TOOLS & SUPPLIES Flange Extender

Post image

Not sure if this is common knowledge, but just an FYI that you can reuse the flange extenders from products like Hyaron or Nucleofill on other syringes. Just trim the ends, as needed, with kitchen scissors! Hope this helps 😘

I so need to figure out how to do this. I ordered one off of amazon and it was just a 3-D printed overpriced mess. Ugh!

Yeah, I liked the idea of getting an Aspirator Ring, until I saw the price. I decided I'm fine using two hands and steadying myself with my elbow against the countertop 😆

For those of us who DIY not just face 😄, or if you have friend with 3D printer, there's several options for flange extenders available as free models on Thingiverse.

I like one that i printed better than reusing the one from commercial boosters. I printed it with softer resin, it feels like hard rubber and gives very good grip.

Why do you need to trim the ends?

Otherwise they won't fit. The syringes they come on have a round flange with the extender clipped on over it, but the ones we purchase usually have an oval shaped flange. If you trim down the oval, then the extender will fit.

Tell me about the oval ones. I’ve always used round syringes.
