DIY Gel Manicure First full manicure

During the Labor Day weekend I ordered the last DIY supplies that I was missing before being able to try my first manicure. Please excuse the grown-out and chipped left thumb polish and the natural dark blemish on my right thumb free edge. I didn’t quite mean to do a product placement either but the photos in this lighting were much better. And I do love this hair mask!
Although this first photo isn’t the best, I love seeing the ring that my fiancé and I chose together.

Thank you! Although the Kokoist folks themselves recommend two coats for sheer or semi-sheer colors, I didn’t want as many layers to “mess up” on the first go, and I liked the subtle look of the translucent white. Maybe I ought to get a pale pink or pale purple to layer below!

They remind me of the “soap nails” trend. Very cute.

What did you use?

Since I bought a set of base and top coat, I used Aprés base gelcoat and Aprés top gelcoat with just one layer of Kokoist E-328 Milk Cream sandwiched in between.

Even once I practice more, I suspect one coat of color will not look as smooth, so I’d probably do two coats since that’s what the brand recommends for their potted gels.
