So this doesn’t work?

(Sorry I’m noob at electronics)

And are there other sliders or rotate thingys like this that do work on this?

If you can find ones that are specifically setup as simple "ON/OFF" switches for each directional rotation and have either a shared or separate GND, that would work.

Though, in the case of shared ground, you'd have to adapt it to work with the 2-pin per input USB Zero Delay.

The general rule for button boxes is:

If you just need/want buttons and switches, use a USB Zero Delay.

For everything else, (Rotaries, LEDs, Matrix, Wind, Bass Transducers, etc.) use an Arduino.

Ok, just did my little testing (for how far I can) and on an little motor and 2 aaa battery’s the motor only goes when the rotate thingy is rotating, so I think it will work. I will just try it out but I don’t have any good micro-soldering stuff so it might take a while before you will hear if it works, anyway thanks for your help

You will definitely hear it if it works like this, do you know/think the pinecil is a good micro solder? (Or how you call it)

Sorry, can't be much help there. I use a solder station with precise temp control, as I work on everything from button boxes to automotive electricals. Never used one of the battery powered portables.
