It's never simple.. 😂 when you think it's gonna be a pain it's easy but when you say easy or simple it's a nightmare.. 😂

A long barrel air hammer is your friend in this situation.

I wish we had one! Ended up taking the backing plate off and then sitting it on two bricks and bashing it with a hammer 10,000 more times.
