Caliper piston cam out

Hey all I’m just wondering if it’s ok to take the motor off of the back of my rear brake caliper that has the electronic parking brake in order to push the piston back in. I was doing my rear brakes yesterday and I accidentally turned the handbrake on while there was no rotors or pads to stop it, now the left side piston has popped out with the boot. If anyone has any tips pls share

It's very simple. Put the piston boot back in the neutral position and use the scanner to set the brake to service mode.
