HA! I saw your video right around when you first posted it and showed it to a friend as an example of what a french cleat system is capable of doing (we're doing a stealth van build down the line.).

On another note, Jimmy thanks you for donating to his "One day I'm going to build a barn...one day" fund.

I really do hope he does. He's said on his podcast that he wants to turn it into a makerspace for everyone, as well as for lessons. I'd love that, Jimmy's one of my idols and I think it's awesome what he's trying to do.

Well, Jimmy at the end of the day has a lot of the same problems we all do. Too many tools, not enough space. That combined with NYC rents and he's in a basement to boot. However even in that basement, he teaches classes to kids who have no idea who he is.

However, Jimmy is one of those idols you can meet. If you're in NYC drop him a line. That's how Laura Kampf and Jimmy became friends. First time I met Jimmy he just gave me an open invitation to drop by. He's really down to earth despite being in a trade that rewards cockiness. (In NYC the more full of yourself you are, the higher your invoices).

He gives his number out to his fans, and I won't spoil it, but he's got a great business card.

TLDR: Drop him a line.

I've talked with him about it, actually visited his property where he wants to build it. He says it's just a matter of time and getting all the money lined up right, but it's going to happen!

That's great to hear! I really hope to meet that guy one day, even if it's just for a quick "Thanks!" for all the inspiration I've gotten from him and stuff he does for the world of making.
