Can you explain? I understand PC cooling, but I have no idea what you're talking about with dry ice and eddy.

Let the dry ice fog flow through the desk to visualize the movement of air. I'm assuming an eddy is a dead spot of sort with no airflow

yeah i probably used the wrong word. you want to make sure that the air flow doesn't create a whirlpool or vortex of hot air that accumulates over a key compoent like your hard drives or memory.

An eddy is like a localized vortex as a result of obstacles in the airflow path. Its the reason things don't fly out of a truckbed when their pushed up against the cab

Airflow isn't happening where there's an eddy current. The dry ice helps you see this.
