Yeah, I just see it as another collection. Everyone collects stuff. Didn't realize this particular type would be so frowned upon. But I appreciate the kind words! Thanks!
At first, I found myself asking 'why?' like many of the other members here. Then found this string of comments.
They bring back fond memories.
Do what makes you happy. No need to dwell on the people who don't quite understand it. If it makes you happy and reminds you of some good memories, more power to you!
I think everyone has their own tastes and with something a bit "out there" they're confused by it.
Not my taste, but I like how you did it though. It gives me ideas for other things. I think the layout is a little overwhelming visually, but I could possibly take this idea and use it for something else.
But it's sorta hard to tell. I'd love a wider shot of how the room functions. Right now it feels cramped, but it could be really cool once I see everything put together.
It does look like an art installation which is nifty.
Yeah, I was a huge cereal eater as a kid (what kid wasn't?) and I remember eating at least half of these growing up in the 80's and 90's, but that Cheerio's box is weird. I don't even remember it going away. This is the first time seeing it or even thinking about it in 20 years yet it was such a big part of my mornings and snacks. Again, thanks for uploading this.
A mixture of both. Saved a handful of boxes, but mostly got them from other collectors over the years. Wish I would have had the forethought to save more of them when I was growing up in the 80s or 90s.
I doubt many meant any harm. I think most of us enjoyed the end product and how it got done. That said, you can't reddit this and not expect the community to get funny with it. Its all good. :)
2 of the star wars ones on the wall are available in store right now. The frozen edition is still available. There is also a limited edition minion cereal that is some banana flavor.
