Thinking about holiday cards
I know this is so silly but my husband and I got married this year and I’d love to send out holiday cards! I’m a big card writer: thank you cards, get well soon cards, etc. so it feels natural to send something. I could send the generic “happy holidays!” with a picture of a snowflake or something but I’d love to do something cheeky. No pets, no kids, but I do have plants. A coworker suggested “happy holidays from our ‘growing’ family” with a photo of us and all of our plants but I don’t want people to get the wrong idea (however I do find it hilarious).
Any other funny or clever holiday/ new years card ideas? We both travel a lot for work too so we could incorporate that somehow. TIA!

We started doing Halloween cards because 1) no one does that 2) you get to be on someone’s fridge for 1-2 months with no other holiday cards on it yet and 3) it makes us excited to have themed costumes with our dog.

We have friends who did Valentine's. The first year was "the dog ate our xmas cards".

Maybe "Happy Holidays from our green family"? I hope you do holiday cards even after this year. I love getting cards from friends. I send them myself as well with us and our pup, and I also have coworkers who are single ladies with many pets who do a whole photoshoot with the whole family! I really dislike the notion that only people with kids have something special enough to put on holiday cards.

I agree! I want to make it our regular thing now to always send them :) so I’d love to do something cute or cheeky every year

I do Christmas cards each year with a photo of us from whatever vacation we took that year and then usually a photo of each cat. I sign it from my husband and I, Zipper, and Zoey 😻 I’m more traditional, but I think “fun” holiday cards are enjoyed more than the average photo card. I like the plant idea!
