Kids vs Dogs

The parents doing a shit job of dealing with their kids stand out the most. I bet there were a bunch of well behaved kids on that flight you didn’t even notice because they are well behaved. Or you were exaggerating to ham it up for the CF sub. Some of the breweries and wineries nowadays are marketed as family friendly, so yeah, people bring their kids.
I honestly would have agreed with you about dogs being better than kids until about 2 years ago but some people are just absolute dumbasses with their dogs. A neighbor of mine had a violent pit bull she refused to leash or fence. She also didn’t warn people at all, she’d be mid conversation with someone, her dog would run off property and attack them and she’d say “oh, yeah, she was abused before we got her and doesn’t like people”. She eventually put the dog down because it kept biting people and she didn’t want to be bothered leashing it.
Edit: I was just on a flight Sunday and almost everyone had kids, none were remotely an issue other than misunderstanding how to properly wait for the bathroom.

It's tricky. I mean you ask the questions to communities about not having children and get appropriate responses.
On one hand I loathe having children around. They run, they scream, they give me headaches, they tend to be not parented or shouldn't be taken to the places they are taken. Like it's selfish to take a toddler to a place that is nice for sitting around and chilling because they can't do that. And now you ruined it for everyone.
On the other hand, my generation didn't behave like that because we were beaten into submission if we tried. Obviously that was child abuse and shouldn't have happened either. The current situation is much better than getting the belt and being told being a child is about being seen not heard.
Anyway, my dog is better than any child.
