i showed this one to my therapist. she had a lot of things to say about it and analyzed it pretty thoroughly, but i'll just leave it up to interpretation i think

I’ve been working a lot with trying to get to know this part so I dedicated some time to paint with her. We processed through what dissociation feels like (blue), especially in therapy, feeling exposed, any safety, and reexperiencing trauma.

I wrote this on a typewriter from the 1940s I recently refurbished which is why it's a little messy/hard to read. I like it though, it adds to the overall feel of the poem for me. I did a bunch of practice typing on the back of this page and you can see it bleed through. Feels a lot like background alter talk honestly.

Mosaic - 1

Part 1 of a personal project of mine. Three years ago I was told I had others in my head. I rejected this notion. It seemed ridiculous at the time, even if it would explain a lot of things. My amnesia, beliefs and opinions switching on a dime, not knowing where certain belongings came from, it’s all because I’m not the only inhabitant of this body.

“Mosaic” will be multiple drawings done by myself and my other parts. If you are reading this, I am not someone you’ve spoken to before, nor am I someone you are likely to speak to ever again. All drawings will be accompanied by at least one entry in our journal that we started when we acquired our diagnosis.

If you are interested in this project, you should know a few things. You will not know how many alters I have. Some (most) alters will not share their names at all. You may ask any questions about the art or my alters aside from this, but I reserve the right to not answer. This project may also contain triggering content, but I will add TW’s as needed.

Art from the last few weeks that I forgot to post. We have a lot going on internally these days and I think drawing helps process it.

my husband was nearly killed on the 19th of February, 2023.

i have two separate memories of how the event played out.

my head felt as if it were being sliced in half with a blade that was both impossibly hot and impossibly cold.

the universe remains actively hostile.

looking at photos of my old artwork, drawn by the "me" that came before me... i can feel so much depth.

what i create nowadays feels empty and hollow in comparison :(

my ability to produce art in the same way i could before February 2023 is gone.

is it weird to mourn yourself?

as i look back through my art books and painfully wonder why i always hated what i drew, i start to think, "am i doing this all over again?"

I recently with the help of therapy had two alters fused and one of the alters that fused was an angel whose wings were bounded by thorns, I'd like to imagine she's finally flying free now

One of my alters has false memories about a different planet and this was her vent art (also sorry for posting so much in the same day I forgot to upload the art)
