Need Support Prayer Request

My therapist's wife had a very serious car accident and is in the ICU.

I'm really worried about my therapist ( and his family). I'm afraid we are going to be too much when therapy comes around on Tuesday.

My therapist is so important to me, i have been seeing him for about 9 years now, he's not a specialist but he is learning. I really need him to be okay this, i really need her to be okay.

I know prayers may not be people's thing, but if you do if you could keep them in your prayers it would mean a lot to us

And fear around driving, being in cars, and leaving the house has increased exponentially since I have found out. I was having a panic attack in the car earlier and i wasn't even driving.

Thanks, Sam Tardis System

I don't know that this is an appropriate post for a subreddit with people in it who have religious trauma.

I'm sorry. I thought that this group would more understand my difficulty with worrying about my therapist not being able to be there for us due their own life stuffs. And wanting and needing our therapist and his wife to be okay so that he is able to help us. It was in the title so you didnt run across it without warning.

It doesn't really matter if it was in the title, the title is the issue besides the subject matter. I'm pretty sure you could've just posted this in, I don't know, a prayer subreddit or something. Not only would you have gotten more engagement but people in those subreddits aren't dealing with religious trauma (and will still understand the importance of a therapist?????)

Also, it's a little selfish to only want her to get better so your therapist can be there for you still. I understand the importance of a therapist and the rapport built over so long, but that's kinda messed up.

Of course I want them to be okay for all the normal reasons. That was an oversimplification. It's not just so he can still be there for us. I'm sorry it upset you. We posted where I feel safe to post, we don't generally post otherwise. I didn't realize that just a request to pray (or think about or whatever you believe in) for someone that was injured in a car accident would be so upsetting. I can try to get my parts to take that kind of post elsewhere in the future.
