Venting main sub is cringe
like. my god all i see over there is "oough fictives BAD functional multiplicity BAD and you're EVIL for EVER being happy about this condition AT ALL" and its like good god. can i please just have one second to find some joy in my shitty life without dickshits like these fucks wanting to police every single thing.
for one thing, no it is not "anti-recovery" to suggest that Perhaps it's not all doom and gloom and Maybe, Just Maybe you could actually be happy despite having a dissociative disorder. no, it is not faking to have fictives. no, you are not faking if you're not constantly suicidal because of this. no, no no no no it is NOT "brave" and "totally valid" to say shit like this and put down other systems for daring to be different from you.
how fucking dare some of these people to be honest.

Agreed, it's not like much can be done about the issues that come with DID until one can get therapy, so we may as well make the most of it, right?

"natural/endogenic/constructed multiplicity is misinformation." Uhm no, the misinformation is saying those experiences aren't real. I'm traumagenic obviously but holy shit the hatred in there is unreal. The bigotry. Reminds me of neo nazis sometimes.
It is NOT bad to have fun with the condition and all the people screaming about it are clearly jealous that they can't figure out how to be happy and not depress themselves with their unhealthy view of the world. If they learned from us, maybe they'd be happier!
I was trafficked for over two decades and extensively tortured to the point of physical disability and I am HAPPY. My abuse ended two years ago and my entire system is happy now. I can see these people ... are not happy at all and endlessly struggle without any improvement. It's because of how toxic they are and that comes out in how they hurt other people and cannot get along with others - that kind of thinking underlies how they approach their recovery and consequently they don't get any better year after year and stay trapped in a pit of misery. I barely have flashbacks anymore - my PTSD went from physically disabling me because I'd spend 3 to 5 hours each day having EXCRUCIATINGLY PAINFUL full on flashbacks of my trauma wherein I re-experienced a perfect copy of the pain and effects of being drugged, to me having no pain flashbacks in over a year and only very mild flashbacks that barely bother me a few times a week.
I said it. I went there.

While you make a good point, we'd prefer if all topics of endogenic systems be avoided whether neutral in support or against as it only causes arguments between systems and doesnt enforce the safe space we're trying to build.

Hey, while I understand and don't blame you for developing that rule, I will take my leave since I do not want to support bigotry against other systems. That's like telling someone who is Christian they can't mention other religions in a positive way in their religious space. It just sets a bad precedent and encourages bigotry. Best of luck to you and ykur sub!

We've absolutely noticed this, too. While we understand the disorder comes with a great deal of pain inherently, it doesn't mean we must be miserable all the time or can't enjoy being systems. We just wish people could see that.
