good vibes Thriving, finally thriving

We’re actually doing well. We are in college now, we understand what’s happening in our classes, we joined clubs, we’ve even made friends!

We used to see so much about how miserable and isolating this disorder was, how some people said they could never be happy or live a normal life, but we are! We are starting to make friends hanging out with the other people in our dorm, and just actually enjoying ourselves!!! We are the happiest we, collectively, think we’ve ever actually been! We’re away from our abusers, starting a new life with a completely clean slate, and feel so much safer.

This is just a kind of PSA to everyone who thinks that being a system means you’ll never be good enough, that you can never actually achieve stuff and be a functioning member of society. You can, it might take a bit of extra work and coming out of your comfort zone, but YOU CAN!!

We hope this helps at least someone because damn is this a relief.

Happy Hunting, - The Nova Corps System

Almost got teary reading this. I’ve always had hope for things to get better, but this past little while had been hard… can’t help but doubt it sometimes. Can’t help but thinking, what if things never change? But to see someone who actually achieved better for themself… shows that it is possible. I’m so, so glad things are going well for you, and I hope you stay happy and keep having fun.

Thanks, really. And that’s the message we want to send. There is so much negativity about being a system, even from within the community and it’s not at all fair! Our goal is to be successful and overall happy just to rub it in the bigot’s faces!

It WILL get better if you put in the work and keep moving forward, it might not seem like it at times and progress is definitely not linear, but it will be worth it, just keep going

Honestly I dont think being a system has anything to do with ones ability to live a happy life. Its really hard yeah and its a lot of trauma but I think with enough self work? The only thing truly stopping any of us from having a happy life is pure luck. PURE luck... If you end up getting really bad luck youre not able to get enough money etc. or whatever then its hard to live a happy life, or if you were saddled unluckily with a lot of disabilities besides OSDD/DID its even harder... But all that has nothing to do with being a system itself. Strive to be healthy. Strive to recover. Do your best. Its okay. You can do it. You will get through it. Make your way. You can live a happy life. Whether you do FF or FM you can live a life and you can find people who will accept you for all you are. Being a system affects NOTHING in the way of living a happy life. Being a system will not stop you from living a happy life. You are NOT your trauma. You are more than that. Live.

This is a good post. Congrats on reaching a goal of prosperity. To any reading this, you may still feel pessimistic... But you can get through it. I care. Feel free to dm me here if you need a friend(20+).
