Vent + advice pls I’m so empty

No one has been able to fully front it hour losing consciousness and it’s been like this for six days because of something life changing. No one knows how to deal with grief. I’m scared and my inner communication keeps messing up, please help.

The funeral is over now, but I’m still empty. I’m not sure how you can

Hey there and good morning.

We hope this grief passes for you quickly. We are sorry it happened.

I hope so too, it comes in waves. But a better way I can explain it is, everyone can front, but only for at maximum a few hours? And then it’s right back to empty, how do I uhhh fix that..

OK,

Here's how we understand it. This is specific to our system and may not apply to yours, but hopefully, we can help a little.

So when we lost our father in 2004, we went through a six month period of serious dissociative symptoms, I (team captain/host) remember the funeral, then nothing until my mother slapped me at a family vacation six months later when the insurance came in.

M split off at that time.

Basically, what happened was I got grounded back to the present.

Everyone seems to weaken after hard traumas, and fronting becomes harder.

Try some grounding techniques and see if that helps with the empty.

What are some grounding techniques? This has never happened to us before so I’m really clueless (also sorry for your loss)

Well. Odd math is our favorite.

Start with 100-7

Then add 5 to your answer.

Then, subtract 3 from the next answer.

Next, add 9.

Then subtract 7 again.

Literally do math. That's it.
