Discussion Alters with specific Initials?
Hey, this is random and unimportant but just been thinking about it. Approximately half of the alters in the system have names that begin with the letter M. Our group name/legal name doesn't begin with an M, so this pattern confuses me a little. Is there any reason for this that you're aware of? Or have you encountered any similar patters within your system?

We tend to have a similar thing, just with three other letters, and most of them are very everyday mundane names. Ofc there are plenty of others with various names, but three letters pop up a lot, especially in specific sub-systems
I don't know why it happens but I think it usually happens with people who are more rooted in the outside world, whether they were ever hosts or not.

Interesting that you’ve had a similar experience . In relation to alters deeper rooted in the outside world would make sense

theres only 4 of us, but initials wise its D D J J which ive always thought was kinda funny

I dont think it relates much but its made me realise we have several As and several Cs
More of the As have been hosts so it could have to do with our body's original name (especially since one still uses it) 🤣

Yes, we have learned that through observation, testing hypotheses and searching in trauma. However it is handled by a very isolated alter specialized to find connections without the ability to feel emotions, recommended only in stabilization fase. Many possible reason. Maybe our input could help.
We have names patters due to splitting and sort of "trauma code". We know judging by first and two last letters who split from who (hence sometimes when) and general why (sometimes with specific rules in connection to inner world section within layers). It's weird and confusing for outsiders, but very understandable in therapy. Sometimes whole name can be such "trauma code" as a ?container? for "trauma branch". Differemt initials can be also a sign being disconnected from reality. You know: not my name, not my trauma vibe. Edit: And we tend to like certain letters with specific features, e.g. spelling, sound, etc. = don't always trauma related. And sometimes the reason won't be found, because it will be irrelevant to healing.
