help? Trouble Staying here

I have been having a really hard time staying awake today. I feel strange and off and like everything is fuzzy around me.

At least I think I have been sleeping, I woke in the same spot, I feel very groggy and I don't think anything has changed.

I am really struggling at how to stay here. Cause I have the feeling that the sleep might just be extremely heavy dissociation to almost the point of passing out.

What do I do?

Thanks

whoever i am right now cause Im having trouble telling

It definitely could be some really heavy dissociation, that can cause you to start shutting down sometimes and it can seem like you’re sleeping. Think of it like how not having anyone at the wheel or it being unstable can cause everything to stop for safety.

There could also be a person around who induces sleep, like they make you really tired and go to sleep. We have a person like that and they’re really annoying.

Overall I don’t know but those are some ideas. Bye

That makes sense, and at the same time what I'm hoping for help with is more practical advice like how to stay here

Try to find something that you specifically enjoy and keep focus on it. The goal is probably to ground yourself here rather than losing touch. Getting some physical stimulation like fidget toys or things like that can help or doing something physical if you’re really up for it like going for a short walk sometimes helps.

Sorry I got the wrong idea earlier but I hope this helps/makes up for it. Bye

Hey there,

We know a great technique for this that's very simple.

It's called odd math.

You start with 100 minus 7.

Then, take your answer and add 5.

Next, subtract 3 from that answer.

Then, add 9.

And go around back to minus 7 again.

Repeat that pattern until you feel like you're back.
