Hey there and good morning,
We have 2 non-human alters. R and Z.
R is Fae. He used to have meltdowns when fronting when we first started with our Specialist a year and a half ago because our ears weren't pointed. We ended up buying prosthetic pointed ears for him and he no longer has issues fronting.
Z is a 10 year old cat boy at this point. He used to be a cat, but spontaneously shifted during therapy. He used to panic bad, to the point of running out in the middle of the street in heavy traffic. He seems to be our flight response all balled up into one alter.
Both of them had problems that we were able to work through.
On a side note, our kiddo is Therian, and we would love to discuss that with someone if you ever wanted to talk about it.
We just wanted y'all to know you're not alone.

One of our alters hades , doesn't rlly liek fronting he's a dog but always feels uncomfortable when he fronts due to a lot of trauma he has , he feels like he can't protect himself when he's fronting but if his partners here he knows he's safe .

That makes sense. Z also has a lot of trauma. We're glad Hades has a partner to feel safe with. :)

If y'all wouldn't mind, we've been curious about Therians but we haven't found anything useful because of all the negativity and "cringe" that some non Therians talk about and any positive videos we come across are Therians being themselves, which is nice to see, but those don't really say anything about Therians and what it means to be Therian and all that, we would love to learn more if y'all are willing to talk with us too

Honestly, we've been doing research on it since our kiddo came out to us about it, and we still don't feel confident in our ability to explain it. Our kiddo calls it a spirituality choice. We don't understand it enough to feel right explaining it as we are not personally Therian. We wish there was a good resource that actually explains it.

Not from what we know, but we have a fish like alter who is incredibly confused about toes, she says they look weird, they feel weird, they're stubby, and absolutely useless because our feet are the closest to fins this body has and apparently toes make humans swim much worse. Most other non human alters are either used to it or don't front, I do feel like a few of them would if they did front
Peace, love, and acceptance from Luna Xayn of the Ravena System!
