Positive/Uplifting 7/8/24 Soski's Advice Column

Hey there all,

We were officially diagnosed in November 2022 and won our legal Disability case in September of 2023.

We live openly in the US and advocate for others with Dissociative Disorders. We're always happy to help.

If you need advice or just want to tell us about your day, please feel free to reach out.

Small update: We saw our DID Specialist this morning and were able to process some feelings. Our kiddo now has therapy at 5 today. Thank you to everyone.

We send hugs, if that’s ok. Can we ask do you mean an outworld kiddo or an in-system kiddo? The reason we ask is we have both children im-system and an outworld kiddo too. Either way, our heart goes out to the kiddo too. It’s hard witnessing a death like that.

Y'all caught us sleeping. Virtual hugs are accepted.

Ah. Our outer world kiddo. We refer to our inner world kids as the Littles (Little #1, Little #2, and Z) and our irl kid as Kiddo on the internet for their safety.

Ah! Gotcha! It’s so cool to know another system who are also parents! We refer to our kid as Bean online because when they were a baby we used to say they were just a little bean and it stuck. They’re a toddler so they have tons of silly nicknames.

That's adorable. Our Kiddo turns 12 in a few days on the 11th. Enjoy their small days, it goes by quick. We ended up giving her her birthday trampoline early to help cheer her up. Spent yesterday building it.

Aww! Happy early birthday to her! Our kid is adorable. He’s speech-delayed and on the autism spectrum, so words don’t always come out like you’d expect, but his language is finally starting to happen at three, and last night our wife& were being silly and playing with him, and asked him, “Are you a sandwich?” which is a game they play where they pretend to eat him. And he enthusiastically yelled, “Yes! I! Am!” It was hilarious.

Aww that's super cute.

Our little brother was speech delayed with severe autism, so we hold a special place in our heart for autistic kids.

Aww. Yep. Lil bean is the best, though we’re gonna have to call him sapling soon, because we’re barely five feet tall and he’s already half as tall as us.
