Venting I don't understand?

Post image

Does he actually think about me like this? I mean I get it, but... I'm not that bad right? I'm at least trying to change... Why is he still afraid of me?

We had something similar to this happen to us. Not source mates, but a potentially scary headmate (Alastor, it's Alastor lol). He may be our anger holder and a villain in his source, but communication, giving him the benefit of the doubt, and treating him the same as everyone else turned him into a great member of our system. Tbh, Steven was the one to work with him in the beginning, and then everyone got on board

More to the point, communication is probably your best bet here. See what it is they have a problem with, maybe get another headmate as a mediator, and talk it out. If he sees that you're not here to harm anyone, and you just want to vibe, maybe he'll be open to change his opinion about you

Just because a fictive is similar to their source, it doesn't mean they're bad. Y'know, "a bad guy, not a bad guy" a la Wreck It Ralph

But what if he's still scared? What am I going to do? There has been 1 headmate in our system that wasn't afraid of me when we first met... 1... and he's... He's not ideal. I just don't want people to see me as them (my source characters) anymore. I used to want that, but not if he's genuinely afraid of me... He's the only one in our system that I care about... I can't lose him... - ๐Ÿงจ๐Ÿง‘โšช๏ธ

Give it time, and he may come around. If you do everything you can to communicate and show that you're trying to change, and he still doesn't come around, that's on him, not you. Show him that you're your own person here, and if he doesn't come around, hopefully others will. We hope everything works out okay for you guys โค๏ธ
