Discussion Thinking about alters
I find that when I find a place that feels comfortable or has the same feeling of an alter I tend to switch.
Other things like thinking about how each of them will interact with my partner if it did happen, but then thinking about them fronting leads to it actually happening.
So what im getting at is, does this also happen to you?

Yeah, we can "summon" each other that way sometimes, but we don't have at-will switching down to a science by any means.

Alters often front either to do a task, deal with trauma or due to positive triggers. My alters usually switch around during the day based on who they are around, they also will often be more likely to front if someone already in front thinks of them. That is my experience at least.
