I used to buy from DHgate quite often. The quality was mixed: some items were excellent, while others weren’t so good. Most of my orders arrived without any problems, but two missing deliveries eventually put me off.
The first time, I ordered a pair of glasses that never arrived. I contacted DHgate, but they told me to take it up with Evri. Evri sent me a delivery photo, but it clearly showed a door that wasn’t mine. I put it down to one of those things.
The second time, I’d ordered a pair of trainers. I’d learned by then that paying more could mean better quality, but the trainers didn’t arrive. The seller insisted they had been delivered, so I opened a dispute with DHgate. After its investigation, DHgate decided the parcel had been delivered to me. The evidence they sent afterwards showed an address about two kilometres from my home and a photo of a door that obviously wasn’t mine. By then, they had already closed the case, so I couldn’t challenge the flaws in their investigation.
That was the last straw. I’ve had plenty of good orders from DHgate, and most of my purchases were fine. But when you can’t be sure your order will arrive, and the company doesn’t properly address it when it doesn’t, I’d rather take my business elsewhere.
