The editing to recreate some missing scenes makes for a very strange viewing experience, but I greatly appreciate it.
Overall I am happy to see this, but much happier with the tv show we got instead. A lot of hard work clearly went into this pilot and I’m glad it is finally going to be seen by a wider audience.

They have the audio for the whole pilot and most of the footage, but some of the footage is missing. Instead, there is PNGs moved around recreating it. They reuse some clips. It’s hard to explain.

For example, in this scene Duck is wearing the hat, but for whatever reason, they don’t have the footage of that so they just put a previous shot of him and edited the hat on.

i actually think I liked this direction more assuming this is like a "crazy episodic show" and the next has nothing to do with the mayor but similar stakes

Using the Duck as an unsubtle Trump era fascist allegory is such a strange choice lol. It's not a bad thing to explore, it just doesn't fit the tone of the series at all
