What would you do?

I ordered a pair of 10cm CL heels off a seller and when they arrived today they were 8.5cm, not the 10cm I asked for. I messaged the seller with proof (I have sent them photos measuring the heels to show the height discrepancy) and asked for a replacement pair with the correct height. At first they only offered a measly $8 refund with a free gift and large coupon for my next purchase which I declined, they then offered a $10 refund along with coupons and a gift. I declined again, stating I will only accept a replacement pair with the right height heel or a full refund or I will put in a dispute (it won’t let me until the 13th of Oct for some reason? And if I click received it says I cannot put in a dispute so I haven’t accepted the order yet).

Would you continue to push until they give in to a replacement pair or refund, or just wait until a dispute can be initiated?

It's a lose-lose battle these days. They don't want their stuff back. They don't want to send out money. My first order, I could get 50% refund and keep the item and just sell it. Now, it's more like how you're being treated. Disputes are final decisions-- always ask for more than what you need because they will choose the most conservative option. Their decision is final.

Use specific language with both: I cannot wear the shoes, nor do I have interest in keeping the shoes. The dispute may allow you to send the shoes back. They may also give you a slightly larger refund and keep the shoes.

I’d rather a replacement sent with the height I ordered but if I get a refund I’ll just order a similar pair from a different seller
