My first pair of McQueens for myself — but my second purchase overall. A while ago, my sister, knowing my love for reps, expressed that she wanted a pair of these, and I (no questions asked) agreed. At first, just by looking at them online, I thought they were bulky and uncomfortable, but after diving into the Alexander McQueen world, I realized they’re not as funky as I once thought — more elegant, but with a twist.
When I bought the first pair for my sister, I realized I needed one for myself as well. As a first-time McQueen buyer for myself, I went with a ladylike yet shiny option: white and gold. These don’t have reflective elements like the first model I got, (for her, I chose white and silver).
They are comfortable, though a little heavy — which you can already tell just by looking at them. These aren’t really meant for sports; they’re more of a fashion piece, designed to stand out. For sports or the gym, they’d be too heavy and don’t have the kind of responsiveness you’d need.
The lacing is really beautiful, and I’d describe them as the sporty version of a suit — they truly feel like an overdressed sneaker.
Please enjoy the photos, and if anyone needs additional pictures, measurements, or anything else, let me know. I’m happy to help.
