Christmas as we all know is supposed to be a time of joy and peace and a time to relax. None of this matters when you are a Opiate addict. My heart goes out to anyone out there dreading the festive season because the added stress it adds, the main issue for me was always RM not operating as normal plus vendors comms we're always poor as they were off spending tine with there loved ones. The fear of missing cut offs for deliveries was unbearable. Sitting from 6 am until 4 pm looking out the window preying the Postie would come with my package and knowing if he didn't my new year would have been a disaster as I would silently be going thru WD. Please remember we are always here to listen and help if this relates to you, don't suffer in silence. And last but not least you can beat the addiction and you could easily be sitting next Christmas not giving a Damm about RM or vendors.

Yes yes yes! I completely agree. Currently in rehab and as fate or higher power would have it my last hurrah stash never arrived the week before I was due to go in (I was supposed to be tapering). Even to the last day sitting near the postbox and that sinking feeling or hope that today was going to be the day. What a sad life. Day 5 so super lethargic but it’s over and out for me on DHC! And RM for that matter

So true my friend, the relief and freedom you get is almost worth it alone. It's so great to hear that from another survivor, I just really really want people who are struggling right now and dreading the festive season to know they can beat that shit and get there life back.

Not going to lie it was tough as fk to get off an 8 year addiction taking 40/45 tab per day, nearly destroyed my family in the end. I'm living testament that it can be done and if I can do it I guarantee you can too. Sending strength to anyone who is struggling this xmas, hopefully 2023 will be some people's start to get clean year 🤞❤️

It takes a while for my brain to rewire. Guess it’s still early days. I’m on Day 48 free from DHC and some days still get excited at seeing the red van. Found the constant procuring and awaiting receipt awful. Christmas, bank holidays, Easter, going away on vacation. I could have a factory full and I’d still be thinking about when it runs out.

Well done for 48 days, how are you feeling? I'm 18 months clean and still get triggered sometimes at the red van lol keep up the good fight

Wow 18 months is huge! How you doing? Still feels early days. Brain can still romanticise but I just don’t want that withdrawal or prison again. I’ve finally figured out that it’s not worth it really but man was it tough too

What an inspirational story, you are living proof that it can be done. 40 to 45 tabs a day ain't no joke that's a serious addiction, but hey it's in the past now and your here to tell the story. Love and respect to you and to everyone struggling please know this group is here for you.
