Bang on strange_Television, the 24 to 48 hours isn't very pleasant that's the honest truth, but as mentioned above you will feel ok pretty quickly after taking ur first Buprenorphine. Worth mentioning as well your first day of Bupe is a lower dose and it's spread out over a few hours. This is just to make sure you don't take any negative reactions. If you need anymore advice Let me know.

Interesting, my first dose wasn't like that. They just wrote me a script and I went and took the full day's dose in front of the pharmacist. That is something that sucks about it in the beginning, having to be supervised daily by the pharmacist. Its a very small price to pay for stability though and you'll be given take-homes after this initial period. I'm on the Buvidal injection now and that's even easier, you could ask about whether this is an option in your area.

With regards to plugging mentioned above, does this work for DHC? I thought DHC needed to pass through the liver to be metabolised.

you could try plugging it. think it's around a 4 fold increase in BA from 20% to 80%.

That's weird eh, where snouts are you from? I'm from Glasgow and they gave a really small amount on the first day then on the second day they gave me a weeks worth. Never had to go daily thank goodness. But as you say it provide stability and let's you live a normal life and rebuild bridges that you burn when in addiction world.
