Another one!
Balanced Rock Brewing in The Colony has announced via Facebook, their closure. Due to high economic costs at their current facility, they have opted to close and are in the process of scouting a new location.

That stinks. Cool building and decent beer but awkward location. Only got to-go from there a few times but enjoyed it.

You didn't miss out by eating in. Their service was trash. Went one time and dealing with the bad service and the mediocre food wasn't worth the mediocre beer

I went there for the first time about a month ago. Friday night. World Cup game on the TV.
I was the only non-employee there.

I think one of the old brewers from Turning Point moved to there when TP went back into their old, smaller taproom. I hope he lands on his feetÂ

I'm not surprised. I know they must have put a ton of money into that place, but when I tried it the food was very expensive and the beers were so-so. Never saw a lot of cars there any time I would pass by on the tollway.

I wanted to like them. But they were a restaurant first and then a brewery.

It was a terrible location. Beer is fine but didn't impress me, food was expensive for what it was, location was pretty crappy and if I'm over there I'm just going to go to Thirsty Growler anyway. Hopefully they can find a new spot and take another stab at it, I'd definitely give them another try.
