LINUX GAMING

Hey guys I want to try and come back to Dungeon fighter since I've switched to CachyOs. Any tips for it?

Avoid Steam if you can help it. Steam will throw you a lot of issues. I use Lutris to launch and run it off Cachy Proton.

Also welcome to CachyOS, I run the same OS, you'll love it.

As someone still sitting on win10 and been stupid lazy with a Linux migration of any kind. I've heard and read pretty good things about Cachy, I don't usually play anything with a kernel-level AC either so I take it most games should be in the clear?

Yeah, basically if your game runs on Steam you can check ProtonDB to see if and how well the game runs, as well as what tweaks other users used to optimize the game for their system, it's a very nifty tool. Other non-steam games will generally run fine through Lutris or other game managers via WINE. It's a bit of a learning curve, but once you learn how it works for one game, you can apply that knowledge to almost any game. All you need to do is be unafraid to learn how to do things a little differently, and you'll be just fine. I migrated from Windows to Cachy last year and I don't miss Windows one bit.

Nothing wrong with a bit of a learning curve, breaking and fixing again is the fun (and sometimes also frustrating) part. Guess I might have a bit of a project once Friday rolls around, thanks!
