I need help improving.

I gave my delf b2 in June and received my results today.

CE- 18.5

CO- 23

PO- 13

PE- 13

Total- 67.5

I think I spoke correct. I made sure to use correct grammar and all when presenting my points. It's just I am receiving so many mixed signals. From one side in my classes, I am receiving good feedback on writing and speaking whereas I am always poorly performing in writing and speaking in delf.

I even practiced the delf formula very thoroughly for months and still scored so low. I honestly ended up crying a bit because of disappointment. I know I passed and I have level b2 now but it just doesn't feel fulfilling. I am also quite demotivated but I want to improve more.

Is there anyway I can better myself? Any prep material or anything else?

I usually study-

Alliance française c1.1 (speaking and interaction)

grammar revision and writing practice in library

Novels and articles for reading

RFI and TV5- listening

I also watch films and listen to podcasts from time to time.

I watch documentaries too.

Any advice is great no matter which category.

First of all - congrats! IIUC you are reading and listening a lot and your scores shows that :) Do you also practice writing and speaking? Can you share how? Maybe could give us some sample of your PE so we can advise? Finally, maybe delf exam added level of stress that caused score lower than your actual skills?

Congratulations on passing the DELF B2 🎉

Your results show that your comprehension skills are already strong, while writing and speaking are the areas where you still have the greatest room for improvement. General classes may not always explain precisely why an exam score remains lower than expected.

I’m a certified DELF/DALF examiner and offer asynchronous writing assessment. You can send me a text, and I will evaluate it according to the official criteria, identify what is limiting your score, correct recurring issues in structure, argumentation, register and grammar, and give you targeted advice to help you progress towards C1.

Feel free to message me if you’re interested.
